Contact
Thinking about counselling? Get in touch to arrange an initial conversation or ask any questions before deciding whether it feels right for you.
If you’re looking for kindness, honesty and courage, someone who isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions or challenge you when it’s needed, then I think we will work well together.
Professional Information
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within the BACP Ethical Framework.
Everything we discuss in counselling is confidential. There are, however, a small number of circumstances where I may need to break confidentiality. These include situations where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, or where I am required to do so by law. Wherever possible, I will always aim to discuss this with you first.
Before we begin working together, I’ll send you a counselling agreement. This explains how I work, including confidentiality, payment, cancellations, professional boundaries and what you can expect from our sessions. We’ll both sign the agreement before your first appointment so that everything is clear from the outset.
As part of my professional practice, I attend regular clinical supervision and undertake continuing professional development to ensure I work safely, ethically and in line with current professional standards.
If you have any questions about how I work before we begin, I’m always happy to answer them.
